911 Addressing

The Fayette County 911 Coordinator is tasked with creating new 911 addresses for the unincorporated areas of Fayette County.  To obtain an address within the area Municipalities, contact your local Village/City hall.  To request a new 911 address or to confirm an existing 911 address you can:

  • Contact the Fayette County 911 Coordinator by phone at 618-283-7241.  Leave a message and he will return you call as soon as possible.
  • Visit the Vandalia Police Department and ask for Kevin.  219 S. Fifth St.  **The 911 Coordinator works between the Vandalia Police Department and the Fayette County Sheriffs Office Dispatch Centers.  He is sometimes hard to catch in his office.  Phone or Email tends to be the best way to contact him."

  • The 911 Addressing Application below will explain what information is needed to obtain a 911 Address.  Having this information available to you at the time of call/email will result in obtaining the address much faster.
