Fayette County Clerk’s Office Launches First-Ever “I Voted” Sticker Design Contest
A creative, community-wide project designed to celebrate civic pride and voter participation
VANDALIA, IL – The Fayette County Clerk’s Office is excited to announce the launch of its first-ever “I Voted” Sticker Design Contest, inviting residents of all ages to design the official sticker that will be distributed to voters at polling places throughout Fayette County during an upcoming election.
Clerk Jessica Barker says this initiative is something she has been passionate about for years.
“This contest has been on my vision board for quite some time,” Barker shared. “I truly believe that engaging our community — especially our young people — in the voting process helps create lifelong voters. The ‘I Voted’ sticker is a small but powerful symbol of civic pride, and I’m so excited to see what our residents create.”
The contest is open to all Fayette County residents and features four age categories:
- Elementary (Grades K–5)
- Junior High (Grades 6–8)
- High School (Grades 9–12)
- Adult (Ages 18 and up)
Participants are encouraged to get creative and design an “I Voted” sticker that represents Fayette County and the pride of participating in democracy. The winning design from each category will be featured and recognized publicly, and all four winning artists will receive prizes generously provided by local partners.
Entries must include the words “I Voted” and be created within the official circular outline provided by the Clerk’s Office. Designs can be drawn by hand or created digitally.
“This is such a fun and positive way to remind people that voting matters — and that we can take pride in being part of that process,” Barker added. “I can’t wait to see the creativity that comes from our local artists, students, and community members.”
The deadline to submit entries is 4:00 p.m. on December 1, 2025
