Juvenile Programs Available

Functional Family Therapy (FFT)
(Provided by Kids Hope United)
The purpose of Functional Family Therapy is to maintain families by diverting behaviorally challenged youth from the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. The FFT program strives to make incremental positive changes that enhance the families' functioning and resiliency, reducing the occurrence of negative behaviors.

Washington Aggression Interruption Training (WAIT)
(Provided by Kids Hope United and Cra-Wa-La Volunteers in Probation, Inc.)
WAIT is a cognitive behavioral intervention designed to assist youth with aggression, reduce anti-social behaviors, and offer an alternative of pro-social skills. In weekly sessions, participants gain tools that assist them in solving problems, making decisions, and interacting positively in social situations. The WAIT curriculum consists of 3 components:
  • Social Skills Training is the teaching of a series of interpersonal skills.
  • Anger Control Training teaches youth techniques for reducing and managing feelings of anger in difficult situations.
  • Moral Reasoning is a method of developing acceptable social attitudes and values.
Unified Delinquency Intervention Services Program (UDIS)
(Provided by Cra-Wa-La Volunteers in Probation, Inc.)
The UDIS program provides services to youth between the ages of 13 and 17 who are at risk of placement into the Department of Corrections. The purpose of the UDIS program is to divert delinquent youth from further involvement in the juvenile justice system by engaging them in pro-social behavior and working to re-integrate them in their families, schools and communities.
